Theresa George Anzilotti

HALIFAX Theresa George Anzilotti of Halifax passed away at home on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the age of 96.She was born in Schenectady, New York on March 13, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Oreste and Emilia Corbo George.Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Domenick Anzilotti. Theresa had to be busy.She loved painting, crochetingand always with the goal of giving her finished products to her children and grandchildren .She was an avid card player right up until her death.There wasn’t a member of the family that she didn’t enjoy playing with or against.For 28 years, she was the store manager for Woodward & Lothrop Department Store in Tysons Corner, VA. Her husband was a military veteran and she was very proud to be a US Marine wife. Theresa was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Gainesville, VA. She is survived by her children, Michael Anzilotti (Jane), Deborah Arnhols (Dan), Patricia Anzilotti-Shaw (Michael), Tony Anzilotti (Jane) and Maryanne Anzilotti Hall; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Edith Bain; brother-in-law, Cosmo Anzilotti (Millie) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dominic George. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 800 John Randolph Blvd., South Boston, VA.Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
