Arthur Jackson Tingen, a beloved resident of Clarksville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9th, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on September 14th, 1937, Arthur lived a life full of love, commitment, and devotion to his family, friends, and faith.
Arthur devoted many years of his life as a Maintenance Technician at Burlington Industries. His work ethic and dedication were commendable, and he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
An avid golfer, Arthur was a cherished member of both Kinderton and Greens Folly golf clubs. His love for the game was matched only by his passion for fishing, rabbit hunting and his enjoyment of loud music. Arthur was an active participant in reading the Bible and a devout man of God, finding solace and strength in his faith. He also delighted in visiting friends, sharing laughter, stories, and cherished memories.
Arthur was married to the love of his life, Frances, for 60 wonderful years. Frances preceded him in death, but their bond remains everlasting. Arthur is survived by his loving daughter, Cathy Stanisci, and his cherished grandchildren, Chad and Nicholas Morrison. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Connor and Dallas Morrison, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Arthur is also survived by his brother Gene Tingen and sister-in-law Linda, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him. He had a close relationship with his brothers-in-law, Jerry Jones, Robert Wilkerson, and James Wilkerson.
He is now reunited with his parents Luther Tingen and Annie Mae Tingen , his beloved wife Frances, and his sister Myrtle Tingen, who have all preceded him in death.
A service to celebrate Arthur's life will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, at Union Chapel Baptist Church at 1PM, with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in the church cemetery. Family, friends, and all whose lives Arthur touched are invited to attend.
Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Arthur will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. His spirit, kindness, and dedication to both his family and faith will remain in our hearts forever.
