Barbara Ann Hall passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at her home in Vernon Hill, Virginia. She was 77 years old. Born on April 5, 1949, in Halifax County, Virginia to the late John Elmo Lloyd and Elizabeth Hughes Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Hall.
She dedicated her life to being a devoted family member and was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. Her love for her family was boundless, and she demonstrated it in everything she did. Professionally, Barbara spent many years as an inspector. Her meticulous nature and attention to detail made her a respected member of her profession. After retiring, she devoted her time to her passions and hobbies, including cross-stitching, camping, and reading.
Barbara was accompanied through life by her faithful companions, Biscuit and Willy, whose loyalty and affection brought her immense joy and comfort and their companionship meant the world to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Hall; sons, Darwin Lynn Hall and Michael James Hall (Kasey); fiance, Glen Williamson; grandchildren, Damien Hall, Michael Hall, Gracie Hall, Amanda Martinez, Destiny Link and Chase Davis; sister, Arlene Spainhour (William).
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lloyd, Josephine Jones and Louise Robertson; and a brother, John Elmo Lloyd, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
