Beatrice Tuck Glasscock

Beatrice Tuck Glasscock of Virgilina, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the blessed age of 93. She was born on December 9, 1932 in Person County, N.C. to the late Henry and Mamie Harris Tuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bee" Henry Glasscock.

For many years, Beatrice was a familiar and friendly face at Virgilina Elementary School, where she worked devotedly as a member of the cafeteria staff. Her commitment to nurturing young minds with care and dedication extended beyond just serving meals; she was a cherished confidant and a source of support for countless students and colleagues.

Beatrice was known for her strong-minded nature and independent spirit. She remained a beacon of resilience and determination throughout her life, inspiring everyone around her with her one-of-a-kind personality. Her presence was both grounding and uplifting to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by grandsons, Tim Creasy (Suzy) and Josh Purser; great grandchildren, Violet Purser, Anfernee Creasy, Desiray Williams (Michael) and Matt Creasy.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Jill Glasscock and Deborah Creasy and a sister, Florence Esther.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Virgilina Cemetery.
