Joey Beadles

Calvin "Joey" Morrell Beadles of South Boston passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born in Halifax County on June 25, 1947 to the late Walter Morrell Beadles and Ada Clay Beadles.

Joey was employed as a logger and loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his hounds and his special dog, Tuck.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Lawhorn (Paul); grandchildren, Miranda Lawhorn, Joshua Johnson & Alyssa Harlow; siblings, Phyllis Francisco, Wesley "Genie" Beadles, Glenn Beadles (Cheryl), Kenneth Beadles & Earl Beadles (Cheryl); sister in law, Brenda Beadles and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Stacy Latchford and Jamie Johnson; siblings, Danny Lee Beadles and Elvis Beadles and his life partner, Mary Chaffin Betterton.

There will be no services at this time.
