Carl Edward Turner

ALTON, VA Mr. Carl Edward Turner passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the age of 62. He was born on February 22,1954 to the late Eddie Lawson “E.L.” Turner and the late Dorothy Lucille Link Turner and was married to Wanda Epps Turner. Carl was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church where he also sang in the choir. He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Danville, VA. Other than his wife, Wanda, Carl is survived by a son, Jonathan Turner; a daughter, Alyssa Turner; a brother, Larry D. Turner(Pat), all of Alton, VA and a number of relatives and friends. Funeral services for Carl will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bonnie Pizzeck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and other times at the home.
