Carolyn Osborne Burkhardt

South Boston - Carolyn Osborne Burkhardt passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at the age of 77. She was born on March 30, 1943, in Halifax County to the late Wilford Singleton Osborne and Kathleen Neal Osborne. Carolyn was retired from Southside Foods, where she did bookkeeping and other office work. She deeply loved her grandchildren and her favorite pastime was attending their ballgames. Carolyn also enjoyed writing and painting and was admired for her tenacious attitude. Cherishing her memories are daughters, Lisa Phillips Crawford and Pam Burkhardt Prevett and husband, Chris; sons, Kevin Tyler Phillips and Steven Brady Phillips; grandchildren, Casey Crawford, Slade Prevett and wife, Courtney, Bruce Prevett, Blane Prevett and Caleb Phillips; and great grandchildren, Camden Crawford, Nathan Francis, Travis Francis and Alicia Crawford. Carolyn also was survived by her brother, Howard Osborne and wife, Ruby; uncle, Lester Neal, as well as many other family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Osborne.
