Halifax, Va Mr. Cecil David “Quincy” or the “Q man”Thomas of Halifax, VAdied Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the age of 66.Hewas bornin Halifax Co., Va on December 3, 1949 the son of the lateCecil Berkley Thomas and Cathryn Green Thomas and was married to Carol Warren Thomas.Mr. Thomas was a graduate of Halifax County High School, class of 1969, and continued his education at DCC in Auto Body repair. He was a Christian and attended McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion Riders. David was the owner/operator of Thomas Brothers Body Shop, which he founded with his father, and led his company from a one bay garage to a multi-bay operation.He was known for being a strong successful businessman andhis customer service. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Carol Warren Thomas; sons, Shane Thomas of South Boston, Va.and Brock Thomas of Halifax, Va; 3 grandchildren, Cody Thomas, Maxwell Thomas, Landon Thomas all of South Boston, Va; his mother, Cathryn Green Thomas; brother, Tony Thomas of South Boston, Va; sisters, Becky Howerton of South Boston, Va and Sharon Long of Alton, Va.; and loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of his life will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00 PM at McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church with burial at Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friendsat the church on Sunday, May 22 from 1:30 PM- 3:00 PM and at other times at David and Carol’s house.
