Cephus Hoover Keeton

Cephus "Hoover" Keeton, 82, widower of Violet Sheppard Keeton, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at his home. He was the son of the late Clarence and Ola Owen Keeton. Hoover was retired from Burlington Industries. Funeral services were held 2PM Monday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Jane Lyon officiating. Interment was in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Hoover is survived by his daughters, Joyce Keeton and Frances Webster; 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and a devoted great niece, Jasmine Keeton. In addition to his wife, Hoover was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Talley and a step-son, Roger Sheppard.
