Charlie Lee Chapman

Mr. Charlie Lee Chapman, Jr. passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 87.Born in Halifax County on August 11, 1930, he was the son of the late Charlie Lee Chapman, Sr. and the late Dossie Taylor Chapman and was married to Doris Whitlow Chapman. Charlie was formerly employed as a machine operator at Georgia Pacific/ Plywood. He is survived by his wife, Doris; son, Michael Chapman; sister, Hazel Clienhans; niece, Ginger Farmer and numerous other nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Mervin Clienhans. Funeral services for Charlie Lee Chapman, Jr. will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at Harmony United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with Reverend Randy Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service, 12:00 – 1:00.
