Christine Minnix Holte

Clarksville
Christine Holte, 93, of Clarksville VA, and formerly of Crewe VA, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Roy Holte and her sons. Steven (Jeannette), David (Connie), Larry (Kathy) and Richard (Linda). She is also survived by three grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one deceased grandchild. In addition, three great-grandchildren.
Christine left the mountains of Southwest VA at an early age for a new life in New York City. After moving to to Washington DC, she met and married Lt. Roy Holte. They moved their family to Bon Air, VA where they stayed for many years and then moved to Mountain Hall Farm in Nottoway County VA.
She was an accomplished farmer winning awards from the Southside Feeder Pig Association and Producer of the Year from the Piedmont Pork Producers. She was a Master Gardner and loving Mother to her four sons.
Later in life Christine and Roy moved to Clarksville VA for a well deserved retirement where they enjoyed life with new friends in Clarksville.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
