Clyde Clifton Elliott

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clyde Clifton Elliott of Statesville, North Carolina, who departed this life peacefully on September 10, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on July 14, 1942, Clyde spent a life rich with love and family. He was a proud graduate of Bluestone High School and furthered his education at Danville Community College, paving the way for a successful career in textile management.

Clyde was a man of many talents and interests. Whether it was perfecting his golf swing, tending to his garden, or skillfully attending to projects around the house, Clyde was a true jack of all trades. His energetic spirit kept him constantly on the go, a trait that endeared him to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Cole Elliott, who was his partner and support throughout his journey. Together, they shared many cherished years of marriage, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. Clyde's legacy lives on through his dear son, Mark Elliott; grandchildren, Hannah Byrd, Jake Elliott, and Brooke Elliott; as well as his brothers, Paul Elliott and John Elliott. He also leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

Clyde was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Natalie Elliott; and siblings, Grady, Russell, and Janie.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at the Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends an hour before the service, starting at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Aaron's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
