Clyde Junior Howerton

SOUTH BOSTON - Mr. Clyde Junior Howerton of South Boston died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the age of 65. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 16, 1951 to Nannie Myrtle Morris Glass and the late Raymond Green Howerton. Clyde worked at Westinghouse, now ABB. Mr. Howerton is survived by his mother, Myrtle Howerton Glass of Halifax; a son, Jason Howerton of Scottsburg; a sister, Margie Hudson of Clarksville; three brothers, Raymond Thomas Howerton of South Boston, Robert Eugene Howerton of South Boston, and Jerry Dean Howerton of Winston Salem, NC; and special friends, Tjaunda Woodall, Sandra Waller, Bettina Walker, Shari Stromain, Sue Morgan, and Gladys Powell. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
