SOUTH BOSTON - Deborah Franklin Ellington of South Boston, VA died September 9, 2016 at the age of 66.Born in Halifax County on April 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Belt Franklin and the late Eloise Seaman Franklin.She was a graduate of Halifax County High School class of 1968.Debbie was known for her delicious cooking, especially all her cakes and pies, that she always shared with family and friends. Debbie is survived by her daughter, Rachel Elizabeth “Beth” Wilson of Ringgold, VA; grandsons, James Wilson of South Boston, Peyton Adkins of Ringgold, VA; sister, Carolyn F. Hayes of South Boston; brother, David B. Franklin and wife Priscilla of South Boston; and a very special friend “daughter”, Diana Tiller, all of South Boston.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Bobby” Ellington. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
