Dwayne Lee Casstevens, age 58, of Roxboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025. Dwayne was born on Sunday, April 23, 1967, and spent his life in dedication to his family and his community.
Dwayne is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Gracie Casstevens; his loving daughters Amanda Albert (Raymond) of South Boston, Virginia, and Alison Keeton (Ronald) of Roxboro, North Carolina; and his cherished son, Dwayne "DJ" Lee Casstevens, Jr. of Roxboro, NC. He also leaves behind numerous nieces who will miss him dearly.
Dwayne's surviving family also includes his and siblings, Alice Elaine Casstevens of Roaring River, North Carolina, and Neil Casstevens (Angel) of Conway, South Carolina, Daniel Casstevens (LaDonna), John Casstevens (Jenny), and Melissa Loggins (Kevin), all of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; and his devoted sister-in-law, Rachel Keeton of Roxboro. Dwayne is predeceased by his parents, and his brother Wiley Casstevens.
A man of many talents, Dwayne left school after completing the 11th grade to pursue careers in furniture, construction, and traffic control. Known for his incredible skill with his hands, Dwayne could master any mechanical task, whether it was working on engines, racing games, or constructing model cars. His passion for all things automotive, especially Mustangs, was well-known among his family and friends. He also found peace and satisfaction in gardening.
Dwayne's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, Cari, Ryan, Jason, Logan, Karen, Hirschel, Daniel, John, and Jacob, who will all dearly miss him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family.
A celebration of Dwayne's life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation for family and friends from 12:00-2:00 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel, with a service at Aaron's Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, who have been supportive to the family during this difficult time.
