Earl Kent Satterfield Jr., of South Boston passed away on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at the age of 71. Earl was born in Halifax County on November 27th, 1953, to the late Earl Kent Satterfield Sr. and Martha Davis Satterfield.

Earl was a dedicated fire truck salesman. His passion for his profession was matched only by his love for his community, particularly the Dan River Ruritan Club. Earl was an active member of the club, where he held several positions and contributed to numerous community projects and events.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Satterfield Good and her husband Jeff; grandchildren, Ryan and Owen Good; sister, Sherri Whitlow and husband, Tony; brother, Brian Satterfield; 2 nieces & 3 nephews; and his constant companion and best friend, his pet Axle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bridgett Bonura.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 :00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Mountain Road, Vernon Hill, VA with Reverend Dr. John Campbell officiating.
