Elizabeth "Lib" Seaman Wilborne

Elizabeth Seaman “Lib” Wilborne of South Boston passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the age of 96.  Born in Halifax County on February 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sallie Wilborn Seaman. She was preceded in death by her 1 ^st husband, Charles M. Henries and her 2 ^nd husband, William Henry Wilborne.

Lib was raised in the Cluster Springs community and graduated from Cluster Springs High School in 1945. She then became a beautician and worked many years in South Boston and was the owner of “Lib’s Hairstyling.” She was married to Charles Henries until his passing in 1968 and then was married to Henry Wilborne until his passing in 2017. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health declined. She enjoyed all crafts and watching hummingbirds in her later years.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda H. Hughes and husband, Ben; granddaughter, Candee S. Pulliam and husband, Nelson; grandson, Andrew “Andy” Seamster; great grandchildren, Austin N. Pulliam and Erin E. Pulliam; sister-in-law, Annie C. Seaman; many nieces and nephews and her caregivers who were family to her also, Faye Kean, Ethel Everhart, Patsy Cole, Susan Lloyd, Virginia Martin, Marie Tucker, Susan Smith and Rebecca Compton.  In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eloise S. Franklin, Jack Seaman and Edward Seaman.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Bryant officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 2-3:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at her home.
