Emmitt West Tuck

South Boston, VA Emmitt West Tuck, husband of Nancy Tuck, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the age of 86. He was born in Halifax County on November 10, 1934, to the late Lloyd and Flossie Brown Tuck. Mr. Tuck served his country in the United States Army and was owner of Tuck Enterprises. He attended Grace Baptist Church. Emmitt Tuck is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Tuck; daughter and son-in-law, Gil and Greg Lacy of Halifax; son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Lisa Tuck of Roanoke; grandchildren, Joshua Lacy (Alyssa) and Katelyn Stanger (Robert); as well as great grandchildren, Oliver Lacy, Cannon Lacy, Leo Lacy, Ella Stanger, Cooper Stanger, and Brennan Stanger. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Tuck. The family would like to give a special thanks to Sentara Halifax Hospice and Marsha's Homecare Agency for their diligent care. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 16th at Grace Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and all other times at the residence.
