Gary Lane Snead

CLOVER - Mr. Gary Lane "Popcorn" Snead of Clover, VA died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the age of 72. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on November 4, 1943 to the late Hugh Lee Snead and the late Marie Culley Snead. Mr. Snead was a farmer and a mechanic at Clover Texaco. He also ran Torine's Store on 360 where he was chief cook. Gary is survived by a daughter, Marie Snead and fiance, Chris Tucker; special friend, Joan Martin; and special aunts and uncles, Ethel C. Everhart, Iris C. Redd, Lena C. Yancey, Sharon Church, and Larry Culley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lane "Little Pop" Snead, Jr. and two brothers, Mason David Snead and Malcolm E. Snead. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Clover Cemetery with the Reverend Aubrey Heath officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home, 1177 Guill Town Rd., Clover.
