Geneva Thomas Snow, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the blessed age of 93. Known for her warm heart and loving nature, Geneva's life was a testament to the strength of family and community. Born in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late William Ephram Thomas and Leslie Hupp Thomas Bebber. Geneva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin "Bro" D. Snow, whose loss she carried with grace and strength.
In her professional life, Geneva dedicated 35 years to J.P. Stevens, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, and admirable work ethic. Geneva found joy in the simple things. She was an avid reader and a skilled quilter. Her quilt creations, each a work of art, were crafted with love and care, reflecting her deep connection to her family and her heritage. Geneva was a member of The Bread of Life Church of God and many years at South Boston Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Seay (Willard); sons, Scott Snow (Wanda) and Michael Snow (Mary); grandchildren, Erica Snow, Kelly Mewshaw (Nick), Travis Collier, Alexander Seay (Casey), Baine Seay (Tinly), Christopher Snow, and Jonathan Snow (Nicole); great grandchildren, Parker Mewshaw and Amelia Snow; brother, Carl Vance; step grandchildren, Megan Seay & Ashley Kutz; step great grandchildren, Anthony Foster, Zoey Miller, William Miller and Blake Seppi.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Snow Collier; brothers, William Thomas, Cecil Thomas, Cary Thomas, & Robert Thomas; and a sister, Dorothy Tuck.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at her home.
