Georgia Marie Pulliam Anderson

Georgia Marie Pulliam Anderson, of Virgilina, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on October 26, 1935, in Halifax County to the late Walter Lee Pulliam and Alpha Simmons Pulliam.

Georgia worked with Virginia Homes as a dedicated custodial staff member. Known for her love of the outdoors, Georgia loved fishing and had a passion for sports, loved playing ball, and was a regular attendee at local ballgames, always there to cheer on her favorite teams with gusto and spirit.

She is survived by her sisters, Ida Pulliam Smith (John), Ruby Wade and Betty Pulliam Smith (James); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Pulliam, William Pulliam and Mason Pulliam; sisters, Mary Lou Pulliam and Frances Pulliam Gittman.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Aaron's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ian Rigney officiating. Burial will follow in Aaron's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
