Mrs. Gladys “Ernestine” Tuck Griffin, 98, of Asheboro, NC and Glen Allen, VA and formerly of Aarons Creek, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in Asheboro, NC.She was born December 18, 1916 to the late Nathanial and Florence Talley Tuck.Ernestine was the widow of George “Morton” Griffin, and was predeceased by their son, George Randall Griffin.Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and David Poe of Asheboro, NC and Helen McLaughlin of Glen Allen.Her grandchildren, Angie Mason (Roger), and Bobby Griffin (Kim), all of Lynchburg, Jean Herbert (Pete) of Glen Allen, Ashley Gann (Roger) of Asheboro, NC, Brian Poe (Natalie) of Seagrove, NC, great-grandchildren, Brittany Mason of Alexandria, Chad Mason of Naples, FL, Joshua and Savannah Mason of Lynchburg, Felecia Massie (Bryan) of Lynchburg, William and Dylan Grubbs, of Glen Allen, Cassie Proctor and Emily Gann, both of Asheboro, Reece and Kynleigh Poe of Seagrove, NC, her sister, Neville Day of Roxboro and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.Memorial services will be held at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville on Saturday at 2pm with visitation prior to the service at 1:30.A brief graveside service will be held after the service at Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC or Hospice of Halifax County, South Boston, VA.
