Clarksville

Jack Collins Albertson, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, at the age of 84 with his beloved wife and children by his side. He resided in Clarksville, Virginia, though his story began in Winston Salem North Carolina, where he was born on April 25th, 1941. Jack is deeply missed and warmly remembered by his son, Robert Andrew Albertson and his wife Evelyn and his daughter, Michelle "Shelly" Cheek and her husband Robbie. He was the proud grandfather to Ashley Simpson, Lauren Morgan, David Holley, Taylor Gokee, Drew Holley, and step-grandson Dakota. His legacy continues through his beloved great-grandchildren: Sophie, Fynlie, Braylon, Grayson, Deegan, Eason, Caden, Ian, and Nolan. Albertson, Danny Albertson, Amy Paschold, Laura Horn, Scott Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Suzanne Baker, Andy Williams and Barry Williams. He is now reunited with those who preceded him in death, including his father, Robert Rudolph Albertson, his mother, Mayme Young Albertson, and his brothers, Jimmy Albertson, and Joe who was his twin.

Jack's academic journey took him to NC State, followed by earning his business degree from Elon. His career was marked by significant contributions to management. He first left his mark at Belk-Leggett, then transitioned to Sears & Roebuck, and eventually climbed the corporate ladder to work in the Sears Tower in Chicago. After many years with Sears, Jack joined Jonbil in Chase City as the Vice President. Post-retirement, Jack continued to lend his expertise in helping people with Aflac Insurance.
