Janet Scott Owen

Janet Scott Owen of South Boston passed away on May 28, 2026 at the age of 71.  She was born on September 30, 1954 to the late John Henry Owen, Jr. and the late Martha Moore Owen.

Janet was employed as a traveling nurse and also worked at Mecklenburg Correctional Center.

She is survived by a brother, John Henry Owen, III (Frances) of D'Hanis, Texas; life time friend, Mark Humphries of Virgilina; nephews, John H. Owen, IV, Trevor S. Owen and Chris Levoid Owen.

A Graveside service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements for cremation were handled by Richmond Coach Funeral and Cremation Services, Richmond, VA
