Justin "Ox" Michael Wrede

Jan 16, 1979 — Jun 6, 2026

Justin “OX” Michael Wrede, of Alton, passed away on June 6, 2026 at the age of 47. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he was later raised in Saratoga, Wyoming.

Justin married the love of his life and ole lady, Chloe, on October 13, 2017, spending ten wonderful years together. He is survived by his wife, Chloe Rogers-Wrede; daughters, Lillith Wrede and Dylan Saylor; and grandson, Travis.

He was a man of many trades, working as a supervisor for Banker Steel. Known by many names—from Tweeter to OX—he was a force of nature who lived with the untamed spirit of a Viking warrior. Whether in a boxing ring, on horseback, or behind the handlebars of a motorcycle, he lived each day like a battle to be won and celebrated. He commanded every room he entered, possessing a larger-than-life presence that was impossible to ignore. To those who loved him, OX was ten feet tall and bulletproof—a fierce shield-man and protector endowed with seemingly inhuman strength.

His sharp, unfiltered sense of humor brought booming laughter and wild joy to the hearth. He was a natural mentor, believing in the sacred virtues of honor, respect, and hard work. He dedicated himself to forging strength in others, guiding them to become sharper and more resilient than they ever thought possible. His greatest sanctuary, however, was his family. His wife and daughters were his sacred clan (ætt) and the center of his universe. He cherished the quiet moments—sitting in his porch rocking chair with a cup of coffee and a cigarette—just as much as the active ones spent teaching his girls how to work on cars, care for animals, or safely handle firearms. Guided by the belief that no dream was too wild for his kin, he always found a way to manifest it, regularly welcoming stray animals into the home just to bring a smile to their faces.

His motorcycle was his modern steed, and the open road was his battlefield. As a proud member of the War Dawgs MC and a former member of the Sons of Silence, he found true freedom with the roar of the engine beneath him and the wind against his face. The clubs were his chosen shield-wall, a brotherhood sealed by unyielding loyalty, trust, and mutual respect. He stood shoulder-to-shoulder with his brothers through every season and every storm, living by a code of honor that he defended fiercely to his final breath .His earthly ride has ended, and his spirit has now crossed the Bifröst bridge. We return his memory to the earth and the wind, knowing his legacy rolls on through the family he anchored, the brothers he protected, and the lives he changed. May the Allfather welcome him, and may the ancestors hail his arrival. May the Valkyries escort him swiftly to the golden gates. Heill ver þú ok í gæfu kominn! (Be hale, and travel in good fortune!) Hail the traveler. Rest easy, OX, until we meet again in the great halls of Valhalla.

Justin was proceeded in death by his mother, Betsy Chadwick; uncle, Elvin Wrede; as well as many brothers.

The funeral service will be held on July 18, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm at the Wednesday Club, 1002 West Main Street Danville, Virginia, 24541.
