Kelly Dale Glasscock

Kelly Dale Glasscock of South Boston, passed away on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, at the age of 42. Born in Halifax County on March 3rd, 1983, she was the daughter of James "Jimmy" Madison Glasscock and Wanda "Dale" Irby Glasscock.

Kelly graduated from Halifax County High School in 2001. An active participant in local activities, she showcased her vibrant spirit through her involvement with county league softball. Her greatest joy was found in the company of her family, especially her beloved son, Mason. Kelly had a particular fondness for animals and shared a special bond with her cherished cat, Layla, whom she affectionately referred to as her "baby."

She is survived by her son, Mason James Edward Swanson of Goodyear, Arizona; and her parents, Jimmy and Dale Glasscock and very close family friends, J.B. & Gina and Cassidy Walker.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Robert E. and Kathryn Irby and paternal grandparents, Algie and Virginia Glasscock.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Russell and Elder Thorne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1 PM until 2 PM, at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
