Larry Herman Link left us peacefully on Wednesday, December 24th, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on Monday, August 15th, 1955, in Halifax County, VA. to the late Preston Jordan Link and Elsie Gwynn Lowery Link.
Larry’s life was distinguished by his unwavering resilience amidst enduring many health challenges since he was just 18 months old. Despite these obstacles, he lived a simple and fulfilling life, finding joy in the little things. Larry was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, and he adored watching classic sitcoms, with a particular fondness for "The Beverly Hillbillies" and Elly Mae. His witty humor and love for nostalgic TV brought smiles to many faces. Throughout his life, Larry never married, yet he often quipped about being 'betrothed' to many caring nurses who crossed his path. His charm and humor endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Jane Lowery (Mitch) and Tamara Overby (Roger); brother, Gary Link; nephews, Rodney Poole (Tammy), Kyle Lowery (Angel), Will Overby (Sarah), and Justin Overby (Kayla); niece, Jessica Overby (Noah); great nieces, Peyton, Kennedy & Ella; and step nieces & step nephews who all remained a steadfast pillar of support and love throughout his life. Not to be forgotten was his best friend, Charlie Davis.
