Ms. Lillie Clay Crews of 320 Hamilton Blvd., Apt. A, South Boston, VA died Monday, July 2, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born in Pittsylvania Co., VA on May 10, 1037 to the late William Herman Clay and the late Ada Lovelace Clay. She was a homemaker and attended the Downtown Friendship Mission. Survivors include two daughters, Lily C. Martin and husband, Chris of Scottsburg, VA and Angela C. Rivera of Halifax, VA; three sons, Lewis Phillip Crews, Jr., of Halifax, VA, C. Wayne Crews and wife Sheryl of Scottsburg, VA, and Michael A. Crews and fiance, Wendy Cole of Virgilina, VA; three sisters, Estelle Hodges of Nathalie, Corine Clay and Patty Clay, both of South Boston, VA; two brothers, Bobby Clay and Ernest Clay, both of South Boston, VA; eight grandchildren, Kim Hudson, Stephanie Crews, Joe Martin, Lewis P. Crews, III, Crystal L. Crews, John W. Glasscock, Ashley Crews, and Colby Rivera; and three great grandchildren, Hailey Hudson, Anthony Hudson, and Jasmine Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sterling Ingram and Bonnie McKinney, and two brothers, Stewart Clay and Floyd Clay. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Lily and Chris Martin, 1016 Macdonald Rd., Scottsburg, VA.
