Linda Carroll Williamson, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, in her home in Nelson, Virginia, at the age of 75. Linda was born on January 22, 1951, in South Boston, Virginia, to the late Edward B. Carroll and Louise Carroll. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Carroll Jr.
Linda was a loving and dedicated wife to Calvin Williamson, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around family and their mutual passion for their business. Linda worked as a bookkeeper for their company, D. Calvin Williamson Trucking Company, up until her retirement in 2020.
Linda's family was the centerpiece of her life. She is survived by her husband Calvin, her son Jason Williamson and his wife Lori, and her cherished grandbabies, Madison and Kaylee Williamson, whom she loved unconditionally and doted on. Linda found immense joy in spending time with them and was always there to support and guide them.
In addition to her family, Linda shared a special bond with her dear friends, Faye Seate and Kathy Talley, whom she fondly referred to as "the girls." Together, they created countless cherished memories during their shopping excursions and adventures.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Oakhurst Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ian Rigney officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, who have been assisting the family with the final arrangements.
Linda will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved.
