Lois Link Glasscock

Lois Link Glasscock, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. She was born August 6, 1924 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late Edmond Jones and Sadie Lillian Tysinger Link. Lois was married to the late Percy Glasscock on December 15, 1941, and was a member at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. She was a renowned quilter and seamstress, and was retired from Burlington Industries with more than 30 years as a laboratory technician. Mrs. Glasscock is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Irvin Peele and Joyce Glasscock of Buffalo Junction, VA, and Jones Thomas (“J. T.”) and Sharon Glasscock of Buffalo Junction, VA; sister, Virginia Louise Howerton of Buffalo Junction, VA, and Ruby Lee Parrish of Rougemont, NC,; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Ella Smith.Visitation for friends and family will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 27 preceding the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Gravel Hill Baptist Church.The Reverend Joey Tucker will officiate.Interment will immediately follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
