He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Annie Overby, and their two sons, Darrell Lynn Overby and Anthony Wade Overby (Amanda). His legacy continues through the next generation, as he was a proud grandfather to three granddaughters, Carissa, Jade, and Haley Overby, and a great-grandfather to Kyng Overby. Lynn also leaves behind his brother, Ronnie Overby (Marie), and his sister, Deborah Wilkins, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Samuel Overby and Willie Buntin Overby; his son, Charlie Samuel Overby; three sisters, Helen Hill, Francis Tuck, and Mary Ann Stanley; and three brothers, Johnny, Charlie "Bear", and Raymond Overby.
