Marguerite Askew Brice

Red Oak, VA. -Marguerite Askew Brice, 89, died at Commonwealth Memory Care on Friday, July 3, 2015.On August 31, 1925, Marguerite was born to the late Claude Ashley and Rebie Futrell Askew in North Hampton County.In 1942 she graduated from Conway High School and went on to be a mother and homemaker. Mrs. Brice and her late husband, Donald Bruce Brice, resided in Herndon until moving to Red Oak in 1972.Marguerite was a deacon and active member of Antioch Baptist Church.Surviving Mrs. Marguerite Askew Brice are a daughter, Carol Franks and husband, Donald of Norfolk and two sons, Steve Brice and wife, Libby of Red Oak, and Mike Brice and wife, Darlene of Delray Beach, Florida.Also surviving her are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.There will be a graveside funeral service on Monday at 2 PM at Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville.The Brice family is being cared for by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
