Marshall Redmon Stephens passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on May 25th, 1940, Marshall was known for his humble spirit and dedication to his family and work.

Marshall was the son of the late Richard John Stephens and Minnie Redmon Stephens.

A simple man of the land, Marshall devoted many years to farming before retiring. His love for the outdoors extended beyond his occupation, as he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took pride in being a member of the Rudds Creek Hunting Club, where he spent many joyful hours with friends who shared his passion for nature and camaraderie. In addition to farming, Marshall also worked for the town of Boydton for four years.

He leaves behind his niece, Gayle Grainger; his nephew, William Stephens; his cousins, Johnny and Linda Shriver; and Johnny and Sherry Shriver along with their children, Cameron and Braydon. He is also remembered fondly by cousins Scott and Kay Cifers and their son, Jacob.

Marshall's life will be celebrated in a graveside service at Fields United Methodist Church Cemetery in Boydton, Virginia on Sunday, February 15th, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

Marshall Redmon Stephens will be remembered for his gentle nature, his love for the great outdoors, and his dedication to his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished.
