Mary Ann Jones

Mary Ann Rice Jones, 92, widow of Hartie J.Jones, Jr. died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at her home. The daughter of James and Lila Wooding Rice, Mary Ann was born in Halifax County and reared in Clarksville. A graduate of Clarksville High School, she worked at I.E. Maxey's store and Clarksville High School prior to raising her family. Graveside services will be 11 AM Saturday at Oakhurst Cemetery with the Reverend Walt Westbrook officiating. Mary Ann is survived by her sons, J. Douglas Jones of Clarksville and Williams H. "Bill" Jones of Buffalo Junction; and grandson, Dylan Jones, also of Buffalo Junction. The family will receive friends 7-8:30PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Condolences may also be expressed to the family at www.wclfh.com.
