Mary Etta Crawford passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in Oklahoma on August 25,1940, to the late Joseph and Cleo Watts, Mary lived a life full of love, creativity, and kindness.

Mary was known throughout her community as an avid gardener, tending to her beautiful flowers with the utmost care and dedication. Her garden was a testament to her love for nature. She also cherished traveling with her beloved husband, Robert, creating treasured memories together as they explored new places side by side.

A woman of many talents, Mary found joy in creating homemade Christmas cards and quilts, which she generously shared with friends and family, spreading warmth and joy through her artistry. Painting was another of Mary’s passions, allowing her to express her vibrant spirit and love for beauty. She was also renowned for her cooking skills, delighting loved ones with her home-cooked meals. Above all, Mary’s heart was dedicated to helping others, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those in need.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Martinez, Paula Howerton (Stover), and Amy Lewis; grandchildren, Bert, Brittney (Joey), Tristan (Marie), Téa; three great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Christina Crawford; step- grandchildren, Richard Crawford, Alicia Preskitt, and Amanda Fischer; siblings, Loretta Buchanan, Elizabeth Muchmore, Libby McKaughan, and Lloyd Watts; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leslie Crawford; her brothers, Joseph Watts Jr. and David Watts; and step-grandchildren, Bobby Crawford and Christopher Crawford.

The family will receive friends to celebrate Mary’s life on Wednesday, January 7th, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home. This gathering will be a time to honor the wonderful woman who touched so many lives with her generosity and love.

Mary Etta Crawford will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
