Mary Long Francis

SOUTH BOSTON Mary Long Francis of South Boston, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the age of 82.Born in Halifax County on April 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James G. Long and the late Pocahontas Hines Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Francis. Mary loved the beach and bluegrass music. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA. She is survived by sisters, Alice L. Newby and Shirley L. Morcom; brother, James T. Long; nieces & nephews, Tammy N. Dunn (Ollie), Allen W. Newby and Chris Long (Stephanie); great nephews, Trey Dunn, Tyler Dunn (Katie) and Spencer Long; great nieces, Suzanna Long and Alayna Newby; and a great great nephew, Brantley Dunn. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah L. Ashworth. Funeral Services will be held at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
