Clover, VA - Mary Hamlett Hudson, wife of the late Bobby Thomas Hudson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the age of 90. She was born in Charlotte County on August 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Luther and Annie Trent Hamlett. Mrs. Hudson was a retired employee of Daystrom Furniture. She enjoyed quilting and preparing Sunday lunch for her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Hudson was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Ricky Hudson (Karen); daughters, Marian Dixon (Ronnie), Nancy Scheier (Jerry Armentrout), Tina Glass (Al), Robin Anderson (Wayne); grandchildren, Leslie Dixon (Elizabeth), Tommy Hudson, Rhonda Fears, Riley Blackstock (Holly), Tabitha Cash (Joey), Brandy Layne, Adam Anderson (Jordan), Amanda Cross (Field), Elizabeth Shelton (Antonio), Alex Anderson (Angie), J.T. Glass, Jessica Glass and 24 great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by sisters, Daisy Meurrens, Alice Lowery, Eunice Hux and Esther Martin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Blackstock; great grandchild, Colin Hudson and siblings, Cabel Hamlett, James Hamlett, Luther Hamlett, Cartwell Hamlett, George Hamlett, Eva Crews, Georgia Beadles, Nellie Jennings, Beatrice Jones, Velma Glass, Mazzie Conner, and Rosa Cook. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24 at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Sean McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
