Mary Trammell Nelson

Mary Trammell Nelson of South Boston passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 86. Born in Halifax County on May 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Trammell, Sr and the late Myrtle Hazelwood Trammell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie William Nelson.

Mary was a homemaker and was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister to her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda N. Wilborne of Danville, VA and Michelle Nelson of South Boston; sons, Ricky Nelson (Bonita) of South Boston and David Nelson (Janet) of California; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Denise Dixon, Hazel Epps and Dorothy Oakley; and a brother, Elmer Trammell, Jr.

A private service was held on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
