Melvin Roy Daniels

Melvin Roy Daniels, 76, died on Monday, June 29, 2015 after a three year battle with cancer.He was born to the late Russell and Ione Crowder Daniels on April 10, 1939in Petersburg.Mr. Daniels was a retired Sergeant First Class with the Virginia National Guard and also retired from Commonwealth Gas Company having worked there for 39 years.Melvin was a member of the Hopewell Hunting Club.Heis survived by his wife, Ann Hicks Daniels, as well as many friends and family.There will be a gathering of family and friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm. Ann wishes to thank everyone for their concern, phone calls, and kindness , as well as, Hospice of Virginia for the care given to Melvin.
