Michael Wayne Hoffman

Buffalo Junction, VA -- Michael Wayne Hoffman passed away at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the age of 72. He was born in Worthington, Minnesota on November 17, 1948, to the late Lawrence and Blanche Cox Hoffman.He was also predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Kocher and her son Richard Kocher, his brothers, David Hoffman, William Hoffman and his wife Carol, and Thomas Hoffman, his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Mildred Urtz, sister-in-law, Kathleen Urtz, and brother-in-law, James Gydesen. Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia Urtz Hoffman of the home, his son, Jonathan Hoffman, and his two grandchildren, Chloe and Charlie Hoffman, of Hillsborough, NC,brothers, Steve Hoffman and his wife Nancy of Ilion NY, Dennis Hoffman and his wife MaryAnn of Ilion NY, brothers-in-law, Greg Urtz and his wife Doris of Mohawk NY, Mike Urtz of Ilion NY, Matt Urtz of San Diego CA, Scott Urtz of Utica NY, and Mark Urtz and his wife Regina of Raleigh NC, sisters-in-law, Pamela Gydesen of Mohawk NY, Mary Megyeri and her husband Bela of Colonie NY, and Linda Hoffman of Ilion NY, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.Michael served in the USMC for two years and was stationed at Khe Sahn, Vietnam during the 1968 Tet Offensive. He was honorably discharged in 1969. In accordance to Michael’s wishes, there will be no services.
