Michael Joseph Noviskey, a cherished member of the Clarksville, Virginia community passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 15, 1949 in Carbondale, PA, Michael was the son of John Noviskey and Margaret Rogowski Noviskey.
Michael received a bachelors degree in electronic engineering and was employed in that field until his passing working with the Department of Defense at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Fairborn, OH.
He celebrated 43 years of sobriety with The Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and sponsored many, many members over the years. Michael's journey through life was one marked by enduring friendships and a profound love for his family and community. He touched countless lives with his gentle demeanor and unwavering dedication to helping others. He was definitely a dog person, loved his pets and volunteered with the LCSPCA.
He is survived by a daughter, Dawn Marie Kirk (Scott) of Alton, VA; son, Todd Palilla (Colleen) of Oxford, NC; grandchildren, Sabrina, Devin, Nicholas and Jacob; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Salb Hill of Clarksville, VA. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Mary Salb.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
