Mildred Gibson Slocum

Mrs. Mildred Gibson Slocum, 98, widow of Cecil Wesley Slocum, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Mecklenburg House in South Hill. Native to Nebraska, Mrs. Slocum was the daughter of Clark and Mabel Short Gibson. She was a retired College Professor, Professional Singer and Choir Director. She is survived by her son, Richard Slocum, of Clarksville; two grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Services will be private.
