Nannie Roslynn Moore Blanks, beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at the age of 85. Nannie was born on October 1st, 1940 in Charlotte County to the late Leonard Kent Moore and the late Nannie Roslynn Adams. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, John Robert "Bobby" Blanks.
Nannie dedicated her life to the care and service of others as a nurse, a vocation for which she was deeply respected and admired by all who knew her. Her compassion and kindness were hallmarks of her career, leaving a lasting impact on countless patients and their families over the years. Nannie found great joy in simple pleasures. An avid beach lover, she spent many blissful hours by the sea, drawn to its peace and majesty. Her passion for flea markets and antiquing was well-known among her friends, always on the lookout for unique treasures and enjoying the stories behind every find.
Surviving her is her devoted son, Robert Derwin Blanks and his wife, Carey; her daughter-in-law, Dana Blanks; and her special friend, Fred Floyd.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David Blanks, and her brother, John Kent Moore.
A private service will be held, however the family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at her home.
