Nannie Forest Simmons

CONCORD Nannie Forest Simmons of Concord, VA passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born in Halifax County on February 14, 1934 to the late Emmitt and Ella Pulliam Simmons. Nannie was a homemaker, caring for her family and her home. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Wells (Richard) and Teresa Simmons; sister, Barbara Jean Harris; grandchildren, Richard Wells (Laurie), Steve Wells (Tami), Eddie Wells and Danny Wells (Brooke); 14 great grandchildren; and special friend, Susan Hatcher. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Martha Hite and Virginia Simmons and companion, Dean Hite. Funeral Services will be held at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Memory Gardens in Danville, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30 from 6-8 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
