Onie Sullivan Gould

Onie Sullivan Gould of Clarksville passed away Friday, April 24th, 2026 at the age of 100. She was born on August 23, 1925 to the late Thomas Eli Sullivan and Mary Smiley Sullivan. Onie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wootton Gould.

Onie, better known as Miss Onie or Hamma by those closest to her, was a kind and humble soul who loved her family and friends. She found great delight in putting everyone else ahead of her and never wanting anyone to "make a fuss" over her. She enjoyed her flowers and cooking, making sure no one ever left her house without having a snack.

Onie was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and Hamma, who was especially proud of her two grandsons. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Walker and husband Chandler; grandsons, Joseph Walker and wife Natalie, Eli Walker, and a special nephew, John Sullivan and his family.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the home of Sherry and Chandler Walker.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Ashley Hairston and the entire staff of Finch Lane for the care given to Miss Onie during her stay at Clarksville Health and Rehab.
