Patsy Hensley, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Clarksville community, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19th, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on August 3rd, 1934, Patsy dedicated her life to her family and community, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.
Patsy's dedication to the service of others was evident through her deep involvement in the Good Samaritan's Baptist Mission in Honduras and Nicaragua, where she sponsored dozens of children and Pastors. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering as a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church and the church's Women On Mission ministry. She also made meaningful contributions as a member of the Clarksville Lions Club.
Patsy's joys extended to her hobbies; her love for gardening was matched only by her anticipation for the return of hummingbirds each April. For over three decades, she generously hosted Balloon families during Clarksville's Lakefest, fostering a sense of community and friendship.
Patsy is survived by her sons, Richard Hensley and Kevin Hensley (Annie), and her daughters, Donna H. Peters (Gregg) and Marian Corpus (Noel). She was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and delighted in the company of her 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Ray Hensley, her son Brian Hensley, as well as two sisters and one brother. Though they are no longer here, their memories remain woven into the fabric of her life.
Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Patsy’s life at her funeral service on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be held the preceding Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
