Rachel Cash Chapman

CLARKSVILLE, VIRGINIA Mrs. Rachel Violet Chapman, of Clarksville, VA., died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the age of 92.She was bornin Danville, VA. on January 19, 1923 to the late Lessie Pruitt Cash and the latePercy G. Cash. She was the widow of Claude J. Chapman and an earlier marriage to Guy W. Walton, Sr.Also preceding her in death were two loving sisters, Patricia Worrell and Ethel Richardson, both of Danville, VA and a nephew, Michael Worrell of Danville, VA.Mrs. Chapman was retired from Russell Stover Candies where she worked many years as a lab tech. Survivors include a son, Dr. Guy W. Walton, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Lynchburg, VA., a grandson, Geoffrey Lester and wife, Erin of San Francisco, CA. and two great grandsons, Hayes and Mason., a loving niece, Kristy Arendall of Keeling, VA and two loving nephews, David Worrell of Danville, VA and Kurt Merchant and wife, Carol of Martinsville, VA. The family also wanted to acknowledge two wonderful friends, Phyllis Smiley of Clarksville, VA. and Holly Wilson of Boydton, VA. for their kindness and support during her illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Hwy. 58, Danville, VA at 2:00 PM with The Reverend Larry Davis officiating.
