Rachel Pulley Claiborne

Mrs. Rachel Pulley Claiborne, 93, widow of David Allen Claiborne, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at Southside Regional Hospital in Petersburg. Native to Warren County, NC Rachel was the daughter of Leonard Macon and Lizzie King Pulley. Moving to Clarksville in 1955, Rachel became active with the AARP # 741 and was a past president; joined Clarksville Baptist Church and was active in the Women's Missionary Society; and was an Avon Sales Representative. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Randall officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. She is survived by her sister, Alice Gale, brother, Dan Pulley, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1-2PM at the funeral home.
