Raquel Olga Palma Diaz

SOUTH BOSTON - Mrs. Raquel Olga Palma Diaz of South Boston and formerly of Hialeah, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age of 91. She was born in Antilla, Cuba on December 14, 1928 to the late Porfirio and InocenciaPalma and was married to the late Rene Donaldo Diaz. Raquel loved flowers and the outdoors, looking at photographs, sewing and children. She had a big affection for cats. Her family was most important to her, having been the 4th out of 10 children, she loved all of them.She worked in textile factories and later in life she was a seamstress, making clothes. Raquel was of the Catholic faith. Left behind to cherish her memories is her daughter, Nancy Holland and husband, Robert of South Boston and grandchildren, Katie Holland and Nick Holland. Mrs. Diaz will be laid to rest at The Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes, Florida. Those wishing to pay their respects to Mrs. Diaz may do so on Tuesday, June 9th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers please, however you may give to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Diaz memory.
