Robert Louis Corron Jr, of Buffalo Junction, passed away on August 30, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born in Leipsic, Ohio on November 3, 1941 to the late Robert Louis Corron Sr. and the late Ethel Ura Laham Corron.
Survived by his wife of 38 years L. Myone Merritt Corron, whom he married December 19, 1987 and her son James S. Merritt and wife, Susan Pattison Merritt of Rockwood, TN. Bob had four grandchildren, Alexa Merritt Michelson and husband, Jason of Knoxville, TN, Amanda Merritt Risko and husband, Dan of Columbus, OH, Stephen Corron of Bryan, OH, and Robyn Corron Hahn and husband Michael of Paulding, OH. Also, his great grandchildren, Cooper, Tate, Riley, Rocco, Rhett, and Savion; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Corron of Paulding, OH; and several surviving nieces and nephews. Mr. Corron was pre-deceased by his son Robert L. Corron III and his step daughter Kathryn L. Merritt.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. He was a retired Ironworker of Local Union 808 of Orlando, Florida, working in many states; Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. After retirement from ironwork, he worked 8 years for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as a metal worker and welder. After retiring in Buffalo Junction, Virginia from Florida in 2004, he enjoyed doing welding for friends and neighbors. He also designed and created many wonderful wooden toys for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Jamieson Methodist Church in Clarksville, Virginia and the Clarksville Ruritans for 10 years.
